Wireless People Counter with
Remote Data Management
Our People Counting System’s infrared technology offers a reliable, user-friendly and affordable Visitor Counter. The transmitter unit (PTX20-1) transmits 2 infrared beams to the receiver unit (PRX20W1). When someone passes
between the 2 units and breaks the infrared beams, the internal counter increases by one.
This system includes the actual People Counter that you would install at your entrance, as well as our Sensor Network Gateway (SNG). The SNG is essentially a router that connects to the local area network (LAN)
in the same building as the Counter, and wirelessly captures the data from the People Counter. The SNG
then uploads the data to any PC on the network. This system comes complete with our special software
application, which is to be installed on the PC where the data is sent. The software will allow you to view and analyze the counting data from one or multiple counters by hour, day, week, month, or year. The data can be viewed in table or graph form, and it can be exported as a .CSV file to be viewed and analyzed via Excel.
For retailers that do not want their People Counting data to flow through their main network, we have developed a device that will allow those retailers to use their external 3G service instead.
What is the difference between the traditional SNG and the 3g SNG?
The traditional SNG would be connected to the local area network (LAN) in each store, and thus the People Counting data would flow through the retail company’s own internal network. On the other hand, the 3G SNG would not be connected to the retail company’s internal network at all. The 3G SNG’s would send the data to the specified IP address through the 3G service in each of the individual stores, which means the retailers do not have to worry about opening their internal networks too an external device.
The simple end-user installation and maintenance of our systems eliminates technical support costs. Our People Counting Systems are all wireless and battery powered.
